MIDDLETON–The Middleton Police Department responded to the report of an attempted abduction of two girls just before noon on July 30.

The girl described the man as wearing a black t-shirt and baseball hat and a full ski-type mask. He led her and her sister away from the property on foot, but she and her sister were eventually able to get awy from the man several blocks away from their home. Both girls are now home safe.

The incident remains under investigation by Middleton detectives. Anyone who may have been in the 5300 block of Century Avenue, or nearby Highland Way, between 10:30-11:45 a.m. today is encouraged to contact the Middleton Police Department if they observed a young female carrying a 1-year old and walking with an adult male. The victim also described an interaction with a person on a bicycle on Highland Way while she was with the suspect. Detectives would like to speak to that person.
