Sen. Jon Erpenbach, D-Middleton, will meet next month with those interested in a plan to substitute property taxes with a modified sales tax as a primary source of funding for public education.

The Saturday, Feb. 23 session at 10 a.m. in the Middleton Town Hall, 7555 W. Old Sauk Rd., is open to all interested persons and follows a January meeting at the capitol where Erpenbach outlined a plan he has long favored that cuts property taxes and funds K-12 schools and the Wisconsin Technical College System from state sales tax.
