Sex Offender Released From Jail

Kevin D. Welton, 64, who was found guilty in 2020 of sexually assaulting two young girls, has recently been released from jail. The incidents occurred eight years apart, both at the Harbor Athletic swimming pool. Welton was sentenced to four years in prison followed by four years of extended supervision. The sentence, imposed by Dane County Circuit Judge Susan Crawford, was less than half of what the prosecution and the victims’ families had requested.
