Hesselbein Elected School Board President as MCPASD Highlights Student Support and Mental Health Trends

Bob Hesselbein was elected by his peers to serve as president of the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District board of education at its May 19 meeting. Other officers elected were Catherine Kells, vice-president; Marni Ginsberg, clerk; and Jim Coursey, treasurer. Hesselbein was first elected to the school board in 2018; his current term ends in 2028.

Friends, fellow servicemen, and family members of US Army Pfc. Dennis Stoppleworth gathered to celebrate the veteran’s induction into the Madison VA Hall of Heroes on Friday. Rick Stoppleworth shared a moving testimony of his late brother’s life, service, and awards during a ceremony at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. Rick Stoppleworth was joined by Fred Bowden, a close friend and enlistment “buddy” of Pfc. Stoppleworth.
