Relief Mental Health, a leading provider of innovative mental health treatments, is expanding its services to Middleton, WI. Known for its advanced, evidence-based treatments, Relief Mental Health offers both traditional therapies and specialized treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato (esketamine). This expansion brings new hope to individuals struggling with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.

Susan Mueller, CEO of Relief Mental Health, has been instrumental in bringing the company’s services to Middleton. As the organization’s 11th location—and its first in Dane County—the move was long overdue. “We had been wanting to come to the Madison area for quite some time,” said Mueller. “We have a lot of patients who had been traveling to our West Allis office from the Madison area.”

With the growing demand for mental health services, the expansion of Relief Mental Health to Middleton couldn’t come at a better time. While traditional treatments such as talk therapy and medication work well for many, some individuals struggle to find relief through conventional methods. Alternative treatments like TMS and Spravato offer promising solutions for those who haven’t responded to standard care.

TMS is a non-invasive, FDA-approved therapy that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain associated with mood regulation. This treatment has been particularly effective for individuals with depression who haven’t responded well to medication according to Mueller. Spravato, on the other hand, is a prescription nasal spray derived from ketamine, providing rapid relief for those suffering from severe depression. Both treatments are evidence-based and have shown significant success in improving patients’ mental well-being.

Mueller explained more about Spravato, stating, “It’s a self-administered nasal spray, kind of like an allergy spray. We monitor the patient for two hours after they administer the ketamine so that we can look for any signs of distress from a physical or mental standpoint.” She also emphasized the rigorous safety measures in place, adding, “We’re very, very cautious about monitoring patients. We are REMS-certified, which means we have a special certification through the DEA and the FDA to provide this treatment.” Addressing potential concerns, she reassured, “We follow all regulatory guidelines to ensure it’s safe and well-monitored. It’s not scary. It’s not an IV—you don’t have to worry about needles or anything like that.”

The decision to expand to Middleton reflects Relief Mental Health’s commitment to making high-quality mental health care more accessible. By offering a full range of services—from medication management to specialized treatments—the clinic aims to be a comprehensive resource for those in need.

With this expansion, Relief Mental Health seeks to bridge the gap in mental health care by providing innovative solutions to individuals who may have exhausted other treatment options. Their experienced team of clinicians is dedicated to offering personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

The addition of Relief Mental Health to Middleton marks a significant step forward for local mental health care. With increased access to advanced treatments, individuals in the area will have more opportunities to find relief from persistent mental health challenges. Whether through TMS, Spravato, or other therapeutic approaches, this expansion offers new pathways to healing and well-being.

As mental health awareness continues to grow, the presence of a specialized facility like Relief Mental Health in Middleton underscores the importance of accessible, innovative care. For those struggling with mental health conditions, this expansion brings renewed hope and a chance for a better quality of life.
