“Even though it wasn't our best meet against Memorial it was nice to see some girls PR’s,” Middleton coach Desiree Peterson said. “Ana scoring her first 9.0 on floor this season was exciting as she has been working toward that goal since the start of the season. It's exciting to see all these girls’ hard work paying off.”
Middleton then won the Southwestern Invite, posting a 133.425 score. Southwestern’s co-op was second with a 128.125, while Platteville’s co-op was third (123.075) and Jefferson’s co-op was fourth (104.675).

And Goth was first on the floor exercise (9.275), while Arnold was third (8.70), Bollig was fifth (8.550) and Leslie Koepcke was eighth (8.425).
“Southwestern is always a fun meet,” Peterson said. “Both our varsity and JV took home first place team, which is great to see.
“Many girls also medaled in both JV and Varsity. It was exciting to see their faces as their names were called because many didn't expect it with the score they had received.
“All of these girls have been working hard all season and to see them get rewarded for it always brings a sense of accomplishment, purpose, and increased motivation. I am proud of each and every one of the girls as they put in their best effort and preserved after some routines that didn't go their way.”
