Middleton, WI – Todd Berry, MBA, PhD, a former member of the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District (MCPASD) Board, has raised serious concerns over the recent increase in school board salaries and the lack of transparency surrounding the decision. Berry resigned from the board last fall, citing the salary increase and the way it was handled as key reasons for his departure.

Rodney “Mr. Peanuts” Esser, the beloved custodian of Park Elementary School, is celebrating an incredible milestone—60 years of dedicated service to the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District (MCPASD). Long-time Mazomanie Village President Gary Harrop, under whose guidance the Village has grown significantly, lost his re-election bid on Tuesday night to challenger and Trustee Natalie Beil. The voters spoke with more than a mandate for Beil, as she tallied 539 votes, or 66 percent of the total, to Harrop’s 280 and 34 percent.

The Middleton Common Council voted March 18 to accept a 35-page report from the Wisconsin Policy Forum that outlines five different service sharing options for the Waunakee and Middleton emergency medical services, but makes no specific recommendation on which of the options best suits both communities.
